This post is about Sunday Reset Routine
It’s Sunday, the start of a new week. You’re still recovering from the previous week’s exhaustion, trying to find some much-needed rest and relaxation. But as the day draws on, you slowly start to feel the weight of another busy week ahead. Sound familiar? For many of us, Sundays can be a source of anxiety and stress as we try to prepare for the upcoming week. But what if I told you that you can turn your Sundays into a day of rejuvenation and preparation instead? Welcome to my ultimate Sunday reset routine!
Sunday Reset Routine
As someone who struggles with anxiety and jam-packed weekdays, I have found that taking time to reset on Sundays has been a game-changer for me. By preparing for the week ahead, I start off on a positive note and feel more in control of my schedule. Plus, it saves me time and stress during the busy weekdays. In this post we’re diving into my Sunday reset routine!
Meal Prep:
First things first, let’s plan our meals for the week and make a grocery list. This step is crucial as it not only saves us time during the week but also helps us stick to a healthier eating routine. I like to browse through my favorite recipe websites, such as Paleo Running Mama, for some delicious and easy meal ideas. I usually pick 3-4 recipes and write down all the ingredients I need in my notebook. Pro tip: save your fav recipe links in a Google Doc for easy access in the future.

Grocery Shopping:
Time to head to the store! Remember, Sundays can be quite busy at the grocery store, so try to go early in the day. As you shop for your ingredients, consider trying to use fresh herbs as they make a significant difference in the taste of a dish. But if you can’t find them, adding some dried herbs is better than nothing. Remember: YOU ARE ONLY GETTING WHAT IS ON THE LIST!
TIP: Think about ordering online and using the “click-and-collect” service that is available at most grocery stores!
Cooking:
Now that we have all our ingredients, it’s time to meal prep! This step may seem daunting at first, but trust me; it’s worth it. Start by chopping up vegetables and measuring out any ingredients you need. Then, follow your recipes and assemble your meals in Tupperware containers and store them in the fridge for easy access during the week. Pro tip: make a batch of Overnight Oats for an easy and healthy breakfast option.
Deep Clean:
We can’t start a new week with a messy apartment, right? Take some time to deep clean your living space, starting from the bathroom and making your way to the bedroom. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, start in one corner of the room and clean that corner. After that, work your way around the room clockwise. Trust me, coming home to a clean and organized space during a stressful week will make a world of difference.
Self Care:
Last but certainly not least, take some time to practice self-care. Light some candles, do some yoga, read a book, or just take a relaxing bath – whatever makes you feel rejuvenated and peaceful.
Hot Take: avoid social media or TV shows you know are going to get you sucked in or emotionally invested. Try to quiet your mind as you end your Sunday.
And just like that, we’re all set for the week ahead! By taking a few hours on Sundays to reset and prepare for the week, we can start off on a positive note and feel more in control of our schedules. Plus, meal prepping saves us time during the week and helps us stick to healthier eating habits.
Remember to be gentle with yourself if you miss a step or have an off-day. This Sunday reset routine is here to help you, not add to your stress. So take what works for you and customize it to fit your needs.
